Once again the Little Free Library gods displayed their inscrutable whimsy when recently they served up a strange, ultimately winning pair of books: Edith Wharton’s 1934 memoir A Backward Glance and Quentin Bell’s 1972 biography of his aunt, Virginia Woolf.
