Our book today is a bit of an oddity: John Kenneth Galbraith’s 1967 book The New Industrial State, the concluding book in a loose trilogy that started with American Capitalism and peaked with the book by this author that probably broke further into the general consciousness than any other, 1958’s The Affluent Society.
