Ghost Books: Bulfinch’s Mythology

Is it Bulfinch’s book? Or Hale’s? Or Mine? Or … Somebody Else’s?

When my recent bookish house guest finally, too soon for my tastes, went back home, he couldn’t help but leave behind a small pile of the books he’d bought while we’d been out roaming voraciously from one used bookstore to another over the course of a week (you could practically hear the rental car: “Readers? Oh no! My shocks! My suspension!”). The idea was that he would fly back home, and I would bag his books, lug them to the Post Office, box them up, and mail them off to follow him.
