Our book today is a sweet little evergreen minor classic, Country Editor by Henry Beetle Hough. Published in 1940, it’s the story of how Hough and his wife Betty took over the operations of the venerable Vineyard Gazette, a little newspaper started a century before on the island of Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard.
