Our book today is a big happy thing from 2001: 50 in 50, a collection of the short stories of beloved science fiction author Harry Harrison, who died in 2012 and who opens his Introduction this volume in a typically deadpan bravura fashion: “They say that the first fifty years are the hardest, that it gets easier after that. I am about to find out if that is true.”
